The lockout was a precaution while police responded to the area. Officers contacted the suspect without incident, and school activities were back to normal shortly after the lock-out was in place.
So what happened during the lock-out? The students are brought into the building as a precaution, and teaching activities continue as planned.
A lock-out differs from a lock-down, which is more urgent and extreme.
