Cancer at ANY age is horrible, but when you start talking about it showing up in kids it just kind of brings it to a whole new level of awful. That's just what happened to a young man from Fort Collins, but thanks to the generosity of a local sandwich shop that this young man loved, a bit of joy is consuming his family as they celebrate his life.

According to 9 News, Ben Dixon, was just 11 years old when he recently passed away after a brave 2 year battle with Ewing's Sarcoma, a form of cancer. His favorite place to grab a sandwich was Snack Attack Specialty Sandwiches and Brews in Fort Collins and his favorite place stepped up BIG for him, and more importantly his family as they were about to prepare for his "celebration of life".

Co-owners of the store, Lauren and Shawn Storeby were once neighbors with Amy and Dave, so they decided to step up and give Ben's parents one less thing to worry about by not having them pay for the 300 sandwiches that they requested...it was on the house.

As of Sunday afternoon, between the Go Fund Me and other donation avenues, the shop had raised more than $3,000 in total.

Well done Snack Attack Specialty Sandwiches and Brews and well done NoCo!
