Today, Chief Swoboda wanted to share a little positivity with Facebook, and published a post celebrating the LGBTQIA+  community for National Coming Out Day.

In his post, Swoboda talks about his experience attending a virtual Coming Out Day and learning about the history of violence and discrimination experienced by the LGBTQIA+ community.

He continues to say that both he and FCPS respect and value every Fort Collins citizen and especially those identifying as LGBTQIA+ who may have already experienced intimidation or violence in some way.
