You could call it a 'Lyft, Hit and Left.' A couple from Texas was in town and needed a ride. They got a ride and somebody else got a damaged car.

What should be a stress-saver turned into a stress-maker on October 16, 2019, for this Texas couple visiting family.

According to The Coloradoan, they were in a Lyft car on their way into Fort Collins and coming off of I-25 when their driver apparently hit the back end of someone's car.  The driver didn't stop, saying 'I didn't hit them,' and kept on driving while the other car pulled over.

The couple was sure that he did and tried to get the police involved, but they didn't have enough information about the vehicle that was hit to pursue a case.

Lyft, obviously, doesn't like the idea of any safety issues regarding their drivers, so they let that driver go. The couple did notice that he also had an Uber sticker, so he may still be giving rides that way.

The Coloradoan states that the damaged vehicle was dark-colored and possibly a Subaru Outback.

The accident happened at about 10:30 a.m. on westbound Harmony off of I-25. If you know of anyone involved with the accident, you're asked to contact Fort Collins Police Services at 970-221-6540
