Fort Collins Cat Rescue Celebrates 5,000th Adopted Cat

The Fort Collins Cat Rescue opened it's doors back in 2006 with aspirations of rescuing cats from the streets of Northern Colorado while advocating for and preventing overpopulation in our kitty communities.

The cat rescue spent a well deserved Saturday celebrating after their 5,000th cat was adopted to a home which will care for the feline forever. Lucy, was the one and a half year old black cat that found a home to take care of her. She was adopted at the Fort Collins Cat Rescue's quarterly adoption fair.

When they first opened their doors to the helpless kitties they were only able to house 17 cats and had just two full time employees caring for the felines.

Now, after much community support the Cat Rescue is now able to serve up to 30 cats full time with multiple employees full-time and volunteers.
