Former Ram, NFL Star Makes Historic CSU Donation

The name Weston Richburg may sound familiar to you: He plays center for the San Francisco 49ers and, even more exciting, is an alum from Colorado State University.

Richburg's illustrious football career was only started thanks to his time at Colorado State University, and he told CSURams.com that not only did his time at CSU give him the chance to play Division I football, it also gave him the chance to fall in love.

Richburg met Marlee Reynolds, his wife, at Colorado State University, and they now have one child together, Cash. Their family is a great representation of proud student athletes: Marlee was a member of the CSU women's volleyball team during her time at the school.

Their historic gift of $1 million is for the football and volleyball programs as part of the Stalwart Ram Relief Campaign, and is the first seven-figure donation from an alum under the age of 30.

Not only will their generous donation give back to the school that brought them so much to be thankful for in their lives, but the family talked fondly of the community as a whole. They especially reminisced on their memories from summers spent at the Holiday Twin Drive-In where they would meet up with teammates and friends from school.

The Richburgs said that they will continue to come back and visit the school that has impacted their lives so much, and who knows? Maybe soon we'll see Cash Richburg out on the CSU football field here in a few years.
