As heavy travel restrictions were implemented all over the world in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, airports everywhere emptied. Over three months later, as Colorado — and other parts of the country — start to reopen, more travelers are returning to the skies.

On June 16, DIA gave a warm welcome on Twitter to its first international arrival in months, a Volaris flight from Guadalajara, Mexico. DIA tweeted that it will have service two times per week to Mexico, for those with 'essential travel needs.'
