First Deaf Entrepreneur on Shark Tank is From UNC
Kobe Johnson and his family had a great idea: a portable outdoor kitchen, perfect for tailgates, with room for utensils. It's called Tailgate N Go, and recently, they had the opportunity to share it on Shark Tank.
Johnson is the first deaf entrepreneur to be featured on Shark Tank, and according to UNCO.Edu, he takes pride in that fact. He told his school that he thinks his appearance will have an important impact on the deaf community, and that "his long-term goals involve changing the perception of deafness from being a disability to an ability in experiencing the world differently."
