Can you think of a cooler place to go see a horror movie than The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park? (If you don’t know why, go rent a copy of ‘The Shining’ to watch and/or read the novel of the same name that was inspired by the hotel.)

The Stanley Film Festival, featuring independent horror films kicks off tomorrow in Estes Park, Colorado and runs through May 5th, 2013.

The four-day event will celebrate the best in independent horror cinema with a full slate of films, panels, student competitions, audience awards and receptions all at the beautiful and historically haunted Stanley Hotel.

I’m kind of a big sissy when it comes to horror movies to begin with. Seeing them in the Stanley might require me to bring some anti-anxiety meds, but I bet my wife would love it! It’s kind of funny for me to see all the fame the Stanley gets from horror movie fanatics, seeing as that’s where my parents spent their honeymoon.

Horror movies at The Stanley hotel…yeah, it’s creepy, but it’s supposed to be.

What’s the scariest movie you’ve ever seen?
