The end of summer tradition returns once again for the dogs of Northern Colorado. It's time for the canines to have a pool day. The City of Loveland Parks and Recreation Facebook page has announced Puppapoolooza happening on Saturday, September 10. This truly will be the dog day of summer in Loveland.

The two-hour doggy swim day will start at 10 a.m. and last until noon at the Winona Pool at 1615 Fourth Street Southeast. If your dog loves to swim, this should be a doggone good time.

Pet vendors, food trucks, and tons of tennis balls will also be at the swimming event.

What you need to know before you go to Puppapoolooza

Since there will be many dogs at the event, your furry best friend obviously needs to be friendly with people and other dogs. Other requirements for your dog to gain entry into Puppapoolooza include:

  • Six months or older
  • Fully vaccinated
  • Legally licensed
  • Wearing visible tags
