Eight Local Breweries Teaming Up To Build A Habitat For Humanity Home In Fort Collins
When you think of Fort Collins, you think of craft beer. Even if you don't drink beer and you think of Fort Collins, you still think of craft beer. It's a big part of our community and some local breweries are teaming up to build a Habitat For Humanity home in town for a family that lost their home last summer in the High Park Fire.
It makes me smile to live in a community where not just the people, but the businesses work together to help each other out.
The whole project is going through 'Community Funded' and has been called "The House That Beer Built" (HTBB). Eight local craft breweries are involved with the project; Odell Brewing, New Belgium Brewing, Black Bottle Brewery, C.B. & Potts Restaurant & Brewery, Coopersmith’s Pub & Brewing, Equinox Brewing, Fort Collins Brewery, and Pateros Creek Brewing.
The breweries plan to break ground on the HTBB home next month and work with the recipient family in hopes that it will be finished in time for the family to be "home for the holidays."
Our goal is to raise $100,000 to build a home for the Andrasik Family, the HTBB Partner Family, who lost their home last summer in the High Park Fire.We will be rebuilding on the same land in Rist Canyon, helping to rebuild the future of this family. The Andrasik Family is excited for this opportunity and to meet you, their neighbors, as you rebuild beside them. The Andrasik Family is not given their new home.
