The game so horrible that thousands of copies had to be buried has now been dug up!

E.T. the movie of a loveable alien who befriends kids and just wants to phone home, was also turned into a movie so horrible that it was and still is a shame in the video game world.

Back in 1983, Atari quickly rushed 'E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial' game to go with the success of the movie. Since it was rushed, the game came out full of bugs and not finished. It was such an embarrassment that Atari took thousands of copies of the games and buried them in a landfill. At least that was the rumor, a campfire story. Many wondered if the site was actually real. Well, thirty years later we find out that it is in fact real.
