A North Carolina man is due in court after he unsuccessfully tried to pay for a cart full of items at a Wal-Mart store. By "unsuccessfully pay" I mean he tried to use a million-dollar bill and found out the hard way that his large bill wasn't valid tender.

According to the Huffington Post the man had tried to buy a vacuum, a microwave and a handful of other items that came to a total of $476. When he tried to pay with his fake bill the cashier would not accept it, but the man was adamant that it was real and store employees were forced to call police.

This sounds like the kind of guy that brings monopoly money to garage sales too.

F.Y.I. - The largest bill in circulation is $100. (Although, there have been bigger bills printed in the past. Bills in denominations of $500, $1,000, $5,000, $10,000 and even $100,000. But these have long since been taken out of circulation. And there has never been a legit one million-dollar bill printed in U.S. currency.)
