Dumb Criminal of the Day: Bank Robber Shoots Self in Leg

It’s tough enough to rob a bank and make a clean getaway. But try making that getaway after you shoot yourself in the leg!

That’s what happened to a not-so-bright bank thief in Parana, Brazil and the whole incident was caught on surveillance video.

The story goes like this; a gang of crooks had a nice little robbery planned and our guy (We’ll call him “Mr. X”) was posted as a lookout by the bank door. Mr. X was brandishing two handguns at the bank entrance when you see him lower one of the weapons towards the floor and, “Boom”, Mr. X accidentally blasts himself in the foot for no apparent reason. He is then seen limping out of the bank.

It wasn’t too difficult for police to find our guy, as he had to make a stop at the hospital for treatment on his wounded lower appendage.
