Well, Christmas is less than 5 days away and you might be a little tired of hearing the same Christmas songs just done by different artists. Don't get me wrong, I am in no way knocking Christmas music I am just saying you can only take so many versions of one song before it gets a little annoying. At least for me its that way. That is why I like to add some non-traditional Christmas songs into the mix.

We all know the traditional songs like "Oh Holy Night", "Santa Clause is Coming to Town" and so on, but here are 5 of my favorite non-traditional Christmas songs that you might not ever hear unless you seek it out.

5. "I won't be Home for Christmas"- Blink 182

Who doesn't love a little Blink for the holidays? It may seem that they are not big fans of the holiday, but if you listen closer you can see that it is exactly the opposite. They are finding the Christmas cheer.

4. "Christmas With You"- Artist vs. Poet

I love this song because it is about being with the one you love and that is all you really need. No gifts, just love.

3. "Christmas Time in California"- The Dan Band

This is just a fun song plain and simple. I played this for my mom who grew up partly in San Diego and she loved it.

2. "Christmas in Killarney" - The Irish Rovers

Ever since I first heard this song I have had a dream to go to Ireland and spend a Christmas in Killarney. This song is so fun and if you get enough people to know the words, then have a sing along!

1. "What's This?"- Danny Elfman

From one of my favorite movies, "The Nightmare Before Christmas" I can't help but sing this song every time it snows.

I hope you enjoyed my list and who knows, maybe you will add them to your holiday playlist. Merry Christmas!

Honorable Mention: "Yule Shoot Your Eye Out"- Fall out Boy

I make this an honorable mention because I really enjoy this song, not because I am a scrooge but because it is really fun to sing. It might be interpreted as mean that is why it didn't make the list :p
