Denver’s Stay-At-Home Order to Expire on Friday
The city and county of Denver were one of the numerous counties that extended their stay-at-home orders past the expiration of the statewide order of Colorado on April 26.
Denver's stay-at-home order was extended until May 8 and will not be extended by Denver Mayor Michael Hancock. According to the Denver Channel, conditions for the COVID-19 virus do not warrant another extension for the stay-at-home order for Colorado's capital city and county.
An order requiring face masks in certain public settings will go into effect starting Wednesday, May 6. Masks will be required while waiting in line to enter businesses, in retail stores, health care facilities, and at bus stops. Anyone violating the order could face a fine up to $999 per violation.
