Denver County and Adams County have been making the news as of late due to their increases in positive cases of COVID-19.

According to Denver7, at a press conference on Friday morning, October 16, 2020, Mayor Michael Hancock updated Denver's pandemic protocols as so:

  • Masks will now also be required outdoors for anyone who is with someone who is not in their household and when social distancing is not possible. This will be in effect until November 16, 2020.
  • The amount of non-related persons who can gather in an unregulated area has been reduced from 10 to five.

According to Denver7, the new restrictions do not affect the rules now in place for restaurants and their indoor seating.

From the press conference:

We're trying to strike a balance between keeping people healthy and keeping Denver's economy alive

Though some had seen these new rules coming for Denver, it's hard to say (right now) what adjustments Larimer and Weld County may inact.
