Denver Mayor Flies for Thanksgiving After Saying ‘Don’t Travel’
Many in Denver will be staying home, as opposed to traveling to see family for the Thanksgiving holiday, as Denver Mayor Michael Hancock has been urging.
The internet was 'afire' as they say, as word got out on Wednesday morning (November 24, 2020) that Mayor Hancock had flown to spend the holiday with his wife and daughter in Mississippi.
According to Denver 7, at a November 20, 2020, press conference, the mayor pleaded with Denverites to 'stay home' for Thanksgiving.
Even on the morning of the Mayor's flight, his Twitter feed urged people to not travel. if they could.
Later on Wednesday, the Mayor posted a statement on Facebook:
