Denver Considering ‘Every Possibility’ To Avoid Safer-At Home
With COVID numbers spiking day after day, city officials are forced back to the drawing board in an effort to keep our communities safe.
On Wednesday, Boulder, Broomfield and Jefferson counties announced a shift to Level Orange, what Level 3 is now being called, by sometime next week, according to Fox 31 News.
This follows Denver County's Level Orange shift which took place on the week of Halloween.
Boulder County has announced however that they are very close to a stay-at-home order. The city of Boulder has struggled with COVID due to a lack of distancing among CU Boulder students. CU Boulder has actually canceled Spring break to avoid an influx in student partying during this pandemic.
Theresa Marchetta, a spokesperson for the city of Denver, told Fox 31 News that “Every possibility is on the table right now" including a curfew.
According to Marchetta, Denver is trying to avoid Level Red, otherwise known as a stay-at-home order. In order to do that though, heavy restrictions will need to be put in place.
Meanwhile, Colorado State University has pushed Spring break back by four weeks. Poudre School District officials are preparing parents for a full shift to remote learning as COVID cases continue to rise in Northern Colorado.
A Greeley brewery has closed indefinitely following a COVID outbreak among employees and patrons.
It appears that no one can fully avoid the virus in Colorado, not even Broncos President John Elway or team CEO Joe Ellis who both tested positive in early November.
