Cyclist Killed in Crash With Vehicle in Loveland

A Loveland cyclist was transported to Medical Center of the Rockies on Monday after being involved in a crash with an SUV. The 71 year old Loveland man died from his injuries that were sustained from the accident that occurred at 4800 black of North Taft Ave.

The cyclist was heading northbound on Taft around 2:30 p.m. when he swerved in to the left turn lane. Not noticing a Ford Escape driven by a 26 year old Fort Collins man behind him.

According to the Reporter Herald, speed nor drugs are contributing factors in the accident. Police are still conducting their investigation on the death of the cyclist. Anyone that has any information on the accident is being asked to call Officer Justin Lorenzen at 970-66-2151.
