CSU Underpass at Elizabeth and Shields Opens [Photos]

They’ve been working on the project since late 2016, and now it’s all but complete with the start of classes at CSU. A beautiful underpass to take pedestrians/cyclists/boarders beneath and across Shields without worry!

Shields at Elizabeth in Fort Collins has been a notoriously difficult intersection, especially when CSU is in session. Pedestrians everywhere, bicyclists everywhere, skateboarders, and of course the cars. Getting through the intersection, whether you were in a car, or not in a car, had you breaking out in a cold sweat!

It’s great that the underpass is there now. What a relief! It does have stairs along its north side, but going under Shields then back up is such a breeze! ‘Hello, Moby!’
