
CSU Set to Break Ground on a New Engineering Building
According to The Northern Colorado Business Report Colorado State University received a $10 million donation towards a new $69 million Engineering II building and breaks ground this afternoon. CSU civil engineering alumni Walter Scott Jr., a chairman of Level 3 Communications, made the generous donation.

Engineering II will focus on solving global challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration. Faculty in the building will focus on biomedical engineering, synthetic biology, and environmental engineering, among other topics.
The 122,000-square-foot building will house classrooms, design studios, teaching laboratories, a 130-person auditorium, and a 24-hour study space open to all CSU students.
A ground breaking ceremony is taking place at 4:30 this afternoon at Laurel St. and Meridian Ave. in Fort Collins.
