This year, on February 11, Colorado State University celebrated a big birthday: 150 years. Those years have been filled with top-shelf educators, successful sustainability efforts, Rocky Mountain Showdowns and more, and whether you're an alum or not, learning about CSU's storied history piques the interest of just about every Coloradan.

This is why PBS plans to air a full-length documentary about CSU's century and a half at 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 1.

The documentary is called The Great Experiment: CSU at 150, and includes footage from a 1919 football game, interviews with notable former students and professors, The Oval's first arborist and more.

If you happen to miss the live showing, you can stream the documentary from the Rocky Mountain PBS website right here.
