Painting the 'A' is an annual tradition for Fort Collins students, but this year, due to COVID-19 concerns, the hike up the mountain was cancelled.

Eruptions of disappointment rang out on Facebook and Instagram as alums all over Fort Collins were desperate to continue the hallowed tradition, and keep the 'A' as bright as ever.

On October 20, CSU's Alumni Organization posted on Instagram that Fort Collins residents had finally taken the task into their own hands.

According to the post, owners of Maximum Painting, Marc and Bevin Parker decided to organize the trip up the mountain and the painting. We're not sure how many rams were in attendance, but thanks to all involved for keeping the tradition alive.
