Creating Brain Cells From Human Urine, Chinese Researchers Say They Can Do It

There is plenty on controversy out there over the “moral” implications of stem cell research. Scientists in China say they may soon be able to create brain cells from another source, one that is much easier to get and much more abundant...human urine.

Say what?!

According to Yahoo the new scientific study claims that they may be able to bypass the entire stem cell debate and create new brain cells by converting cells found in urine instead. If this research is correct, we could have a new weapon again neurodegenerative diseases.

And to top things off, instead of just being an alternative to stem cell, they say that the urine-made-brain cells would actually be better and have less chance of developing tumors.

Wow, a way to possibly fight things like Alzheimer's, Huntington’s, and Parkinson’s and we may have been flushing it away for years!
