Talk about some horrible neighbors. A couple in Pennsylvania noticed that their neighbors two dogs had wandered onto their property, so the woman called police saying she was unsure what to do with them. The officer recommended that she call the animal shelter and during that call she said that one of them, a Rottweiler puppy, had run away but she still had the other one. Later that evening the dogs owner called the officer to say that one of his dogs had been returned but he was still missing the puppy. The officer believed that the puppy was still in the custody of the neighbors so he contacted them and they denied the allegations.

The officer then went to their house where he talked to the babysitter and the couple's 5-year-old son. The 5-year-old proceeded to tell the officer that, "his mommy had given the dog to a woman from the Internet."

The officer then found the buyer and she returned the dog to the rightful owner and the couple was charged with not making a reasonable effort to return lost property, two counts of conspiracy and false reporting.
