You know those annoying pop-ups on your computer or phone that say "Update Required"?  That will soon be coming to your car.As The Denver Channel reported, cars are already pretty high-tech devices. A ton of technology is controlling your steering, acceleration and so much more. It’s even gotten to the point that some Toyota engineers are joking they only slap on wheels to keep the computer from scraping the ground.

But what happens in the event that an auto maker figures out how to better calibrate internal parts to increase horsepower, fuel efficiency or more? It’ll just push out a software update.

Things are about to change between you, your car, and the auto industry.

This could also mean fewer auto recalls as well. A faulty device could even become as simple as a software update to get fixed instead of ever taking it back to a dealer.
