Cops Mistake Blind Man For Ninja and Taser Him

How in the world did the cops mistake this poor guy for a sword wielding ninja? This poor 65-year-old man was minding his own business, walking down to the bar when he was attacked by cops. This happened in the U.K. Apparently, some people in the neighborhood had called the cops to report that they spotted a man walking around with a sword. Police show up to investigate and spot the 65-year-old man, who is blind, waving his walking stick below his waste.

They begin yelling at the guy to get stop and get down, but he is blind and has no idea that they are cops or that they are yelling at him. He continues to walk and because he does so, the police view him as a threat and taser the poor guy.  He falls to the ground and as police come up to him, he is yelling, "I'm blind! Can't you see I am blind?"

After cops handcuffed him, they realized their mistake and apologized, a lot. Needless to say the man has lawyered up and is pursuing legal action.
