Crews have closed the southbound west lane of U.S. 287 or Cleveland Avenue at the one-way split at Taco John’s. The lane closure is expected to last 10-14 days while the west side concrete barrier is extended by 170 feet.

According to the City of Loveland, construction will then move to the east side of the road for installation of a new guardrail system that will span 360 feet along the residential properties. A 3-day lane closure on the east side will be necessary during working hours, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Installation of the new guardrail system and the extension of the concrete barrier address residential safety concerns raised by multiple vehicular accidents that have occurred in the area.

It's probably best to find an alternate route during construction.
