According to the Coloradoan, Comcast decided to close the call center citing evolution and staying relevant while meeting the needs of their customers. The announcement of the closure comes just after a couple of weeks of the launch of Connexion, which is the Fort Collins broadband service. There are more than 230 employees at the Fort Collins Comcast call center that could be affected by the closure of the location. It does appear that most of those employees will be able to work from home remotely or apply for other positions within Comcast.
