Colorado Tavern Repeatedly Targeted With Stink Bombs
A stink bomber has repeatedly targeted a Copper Mountain tavern - the most recent incident being its 13th offense in 3 years.
No one knows why this is happening, but deputies in Summit County are searching for the man responsible.
Surveillance video captured an older white male "throwing a plastic bottle filled with an unknown putrid smelling liquid onto the patio" at Tucker's Tavern on September 17 just after 9 p.m., according to the Summit County Sheriff's Office.
"This is the 13th reported incident over the past 3 years where a similar looking male has thrown 'stink bombs' onto the patio of this establishment," said tavern owner Jan Skulety, who is worried for his family's safety. "We have no clue why someone would want to do this to us, we can't think of a reason or a person who has a grudge against our independently-owned small business."
The family has had to have the patio carpets cleaned and treated professionally since the horrible smell is very difficult to get rid of.
If you have any information in these cases or recognize the man in the surveillance video screen capture, please contact Summit County Sheriff's Office Detective Rob Pearce at 980-423-8940 or at robertp@summitcountyco.gov.
