The minimum wage will increase next year to $14.81 across the state. Right now, it is $14.42.

The minimum wage can vary in different cities and counties. For example, Denver's minimum wage will increase by more than 50 cents to $18.81. According to the Colorado Sun, the city with the most dramatic minimum wage increase is Edgewater at ten percent.

State lawmakers allowed cities and counties to set their own minimum wage a few years ago. It has been incredibly helpful for some workers who live in far more expensive areas such as Denver, Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, and Boulder.

Expect Minimum Wage to Rise Consistently in Colorado

Boulder County announced that they will be raising their minimum wage to $25 an hour in Unincorporated Boulder County by 2030. We are expecting to see similar results in other communities here in Colorado.
