Colorado Is Very Generous — Which Charity Is Our Largest?
'Tis the season of giving.
Just in case no one has told you yet, welcome to the holiday season. I know, I can't believe it is already here either. But alas, here we are. It's the most wonderful time of the year. It's the time when we gather with loved ones to count our blessings and give to one another.
Can you feel that spirit of giving in the air?
As it turns out, we tend to feel generous in the state of Colorado all throughout the year. We are one of the most charitable states according to WalletHub. In fact, we were number eight on their list.
That got me thinking about where our well-intended money goes?
I'm sure we each have a charity that is near and dear to our hearts. Perhaps you have a passion for animals who need homes or children who are battling cancer. Maybe you have experienced a time in your life in which you received help from a charity and now you are paying it forward for others. There are so many ways to give back in our state and across the nation.
But what's the largest charity in Colorado?
According to GoBankingRates, the largest charity in our state is Catholic Health Initiatives. Their gross receipts are listed at $1,938,582,992. And their total assets equal $8,344,042,829.
