I have been going to Costco for nearly 10 years. Many Colorado residents have been dedicated to the big box retailers for long periods of time.

Costco is great because you buy in bulk and will save a lot of money most of the time. Costco is unique because each shopper has to pay for a membership. I have saved so much money over the years that I have no problem paying the $60 annual membership fee.

Some changes regarding the membership fee will be happening very soon in Colorado

Cloud storage on phones, streaming services, and other subscriptions go up by a few dollars a year. It does not seem like much, but these fees add up over time.

Costco's annual membership will be more expensive very soon.

Colorado Costco Stores To Charge More For Membership

For the first time in seven years, Costco is raising the price of their annual membership, according to Forbes. A basic membership is going from $60 to $65.

If you have a premium membership your membership will go from $120 to $130.

The new membership prices will begin on September 1.

There are 16 Costco stores in Colorado and the membership price increase will be for all locations. The price increase will be enforced at every location in the United States.

This is the first time that Costco has increased its annual membership since 2017.

I will still gladly pay the membership fee despite the price increase, however, many shoppers have voiced their frustrations on social media.
