Thousands and thousands of winning hockey players have had the privilege of taking the Stanley Cup to do with it what they will. Jack Johnson took the kids for ice cream.

Maybe you've had an ice cream cone with three or maybe four scoops on it. Perhaps you've had a 'mondo' serving of ice cream for your birthday, at some point. These kids will always have the best bragging rights, as they had ice cream from the Stanley Cup.

Jack Johnson, a Defenseman for the Colorado Avalanche wears the number '3' on his jersey; coincidentally, he has three children with his wife Kelly. Also a coincidence, is that Kelly's brother is Brady Quin, a former NFL quarterback who played for the Denver Broncos in the 2010-2011 season.

NHL.com has the story on how Jack took his three kids, ages 6, 4 and 2, to one of the family's favorite stops where they live in Dublin, Ohio, for some ice cream. It had to be a great sight, seeing him and the gang walking from across the street (where they had lunch) with the one-and-only Stanley Cup in tow.

According to NHL.com, Johnson had promised his kids, long ago, that if he ever won the Stanley Cup, he'd take the kids for ice cream in the coveted trophy. Dad came through in a big way, as it's probably the biggest ice cream sundae these kids will ever see.
