Coloradans Have Been Betting on Table Tennis More Than Any Other Sport
The first month of legalized sports betting in Colorado yielded intense revenue, despite many Colorado sports taking a break for safety reasons due to COVID-19. That's right: us sports lovers always find a way.
According to a press release from the Colorado Department of Revenue,
The total amount wagered in Colorado for the first month of legalized sports betting totaled $25,621,761.63 with the total taxes due of $96,537.55.
And that's just in one month.
With professional sports quite literally taking a knee right now, you might be wondering: what are people betting on? The DOR says:
The Division also published the top ten sports by total wagers with table tennis taking the top spot for the most wagers made in May 2020.
