On March 17, the '2 Heads' singer will be playing at Hodi's Half Note in Old Town, and we're honestly just as surprised as you are.

Don't get me wrong, I love Hodi's. It's intimate but open, the bartenders are pretty nice for the most part and it's not an exclusively 21+ venue, so not everyone gets left out. My only real complaint is that it opened in 2007 which I think is also the last time someone mopped the floor in the girls' bathroom. But, if you think about it, that just adds to the whole CBGB dive-vibe ambiance, so I actually wouldn't even change that.

Anyway, the thing about Hodi's is that it's metal. It is sooo metal. Or it's banjo. At least that's the impression I get when I walk by on a Friday night. I'm not saying that is a bad thing at all, it's just all the more reason why I was a little astounded that alt-pop artist Coleman Hell would be swingin' by, and it sounds like it'll be a great time.

The Canadian (eh?) singer and hopefully his electric banjo will be there on March 17 with Ria Mae, and tickets are just $12.
