Going to fairs and rodeos is something that I look forward to doing every year. I think this year I'm excited more than ever just because we couldn't do it last year. One of the big events that I was told about from even before we moved to Northern Colorado almost a year ago was Cheyenne Frontier Days.

Of COURSE, the shows are epic and the rodeo itself is one of the biggest and best in the country, and of course you have the rides. Last but certainly not least, there's the food.

This year, the good folks up at Cheyenne Frontier Days are celebrating the return of the event with an incredible selection of food combos and I couldn't more excited to try them...ALL of them.

According to a press release, culinary creators have been hard at work in their labs (kitchens) coming up with some unique and delicious foods for CFD for the first time in years, so yeah...the menu is going to be expanded and freshened up a bit.

Fun Biz Fair Food, the award winning food creators of fair food all over the country have been the ones working on all of this goodness, and will be showing off their brand new selections at this year's Cheyenne Frontier Days, the largest rodeo and western festival in the U.S. This will be the first time in 30 years that brand new dishes will be a part of the rodeo and we couldn't be more excited about the situation.

Let's take a look at some of these new foods we are going to have a chance to devour this year...

1. Fruity Pebble Shrimp Po' Boy

A little sweet topped on this classic po' boy.

 2. Elote Dog
This dog is stacked with  fresh cut corn off the Cobb, pico de Gallo, spices, shredded Oaxaca cheese, jalapeños, and drizzled with spicy mayo, a lime wedge, and Mexican crema.
