If you have a dog you know that the beauty of spring is kind of a catch-22. All those new smells, those new creatures hatching, all the pollen in the air and those rain-soaked mud puddles make for a fun, yet very messy outdoor experience for your furry friends.

Mine are no different and are due for another good washing, so I was excited to find out that we’ll be broadcasting live from an annual dog wash in Windsor this weekend. Where and when is it?

This Sunday (May 6th) from 10am-2pm at 1295 Main St. in Windsor.

It’s the Vets Animal Hospital annual dog wash to benefit Animal House Rescue. The dog wash will happen at Hot Rod Dog (1297 Main St. # 7, right next to the Vets Animal Hospital).

All that is being asked is for people to bring monetary donations, food donations and/or pet supply donations. Those donations will go to Animal House Rescue to help pets without homes. You can read about what Animal House does here.

On top of the dog wash there will be other area businesses on hand with booths, samples, and demonstrations of what they offer for your pets. And you can help yourself to hotdogs, chips and drinks.

I’ll be broadcasting live from the event with 99.9 The Point from 10am-Noon and the wash goes on from 10am-2pm this Sunday.

Bring your pooch down, get ‘em cleaned up and help out a worthy cause.

That brings up a question, what is the most disgusting thing your dog has ever gotten into?
