Police are investigating a bomb threat phoned in to a Northern Colorado McDonalds location early Wednesday morning.

According to the Longmont Times-Call, the threat caused McDonalds in Frederick at 3650 Colorado 52 to shut down at around 1 a.m. Wednesday, and remained closed for several hours. The Boulder bomb squad responded but didn't find any suspicious devices.

Police also diverted traffic along Colorado 52 and I-25 during the search.

This case is currently under investigation and police are working to find out who made the threat.

The Weld County Sheriff's Office, Colorado State Patrol, and Frederick Firestone Fire Protection District also responded to the scene.
