Call me a child of the 80’s and 90’s, but “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure,” "Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey,” “Ghostbusters”, and “Ghostbusters II” were all some of my childhood favorites. Now I’m giddy over the fact that they’ll be back with new movies AND still have original cast members.

In an interview with MTV, Keanu Reeves said the boys from San Dimas High will be back with sequel to the classic “Bill & Ted” films. I guess the boys were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, but it hasn't happened yet. And they just might  have to go back in time to set things right.

Rumors of a "Ghostbusters" sequel have been circling and dying for years, allegedly because Bill Murray would not sign on to do the movies.  (Rumor has it that he didn’t like the screenplays.)  But, it looks like Dan Akroyd took over scripting and that finally got Murray to sign on for the film. (What would “Ghostbusters” but without Bill Murray as Peter Venkman?)  Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Harold Ramis will all be back with proton packs in tow for two new Ghostbuster reboots. No details on the plots yet, but the old Ghostbusters might be training a new batch of heroes.

I know people are fed up with all the sequels and remakes coming from Hollywood right now, but these are two franchises I am happy to have the limelight shining on again.
