We've seen 'Sesame Street' take on the likes of such TV-MA fare as 'Sons of Anarchy,' 'Boardwalk Empire' and 'Homeland,' but can it master deductions when it comes to 'Sherlock'? Okay, it isn't exactly the great detective, but Benedict Cumberbatch himself making deductions with 'Sesame Street' muppets is the next best thing!

You're warned of minor spoilers for 'Sherlock' season 3 in PBS' latest celebrity guest appearance (curious that the spot spoils the shocking post-credits reveal of "His Last Vow," but not in a way one would immediately recognize), but Benedict Cumberbatch dropped by 'Sesame Street' this week to adorably remind us all how to count apples and oranges, different though they may be.

Murray Monster and the Count of 'Sesame Street' of course mistake Cumberbatch himself for Sherlock Holmes, though sadly John Martin Freeman doesn't put in any appearance to clear up the confusion. Interestingly, Cumberbatch filmed the spot during a brief aside from the TCA press tour to promote 'Sherlock' season 3 for PBS, while only days earlier Freeman was present to discuss FX's 'Fargo.'

Everyone loves a daily dose of Benedict Cumberbatch, so watch 'Sherlock' take on 'Sesame Street' above, and tell us what you think in the comments!
