This past March, CSU was searching for their next men's head basketball coach. Former CSU All-American Becky Hammon, currently an assistant coach with the NBA San Antonio Spurs, was mentioned and considered as a candidate. It didn't take long for her to withdraw her name from consideration. Her gig in San Antonio is too good and who knows....maybe an NBA opportunity might knock her door.

According to ESPN, The Milwaukee Bucks plan to interview Becky for their current head coaching vacancy. She and the Bucks have met before as they interviewed her in 2017 for their GM vacancy. The ESPN story also says that Hammon may not be a frontline candidate and is among at least 10 other candidates.

Hammon played for CSU from 1995-1999 and was a three-time All-American, Colorado Sportswoman of the Year, WAC Mountain Division player of the year (1998-1999), a Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award recipient, and inducted in the Colorado State University Hall of Fame.

As an assistant coach at San Antonio, she became the first full-time, salaried female coach in NBA history in 2014. She was also the first ever female head coach in the NBA's Summer League and led the Spurs to the Las Vegas Summer League in 2015.
