Usually one of the first ski areas to open — and last to close — in Colorado, A-Basin is starting to turn white.

While we've only seen one snow so far on the Front Range (and it was really weirdly early in the season, too), a weekend snowstorm dropped about one inch in the high country. It not only helped stall the Cameron Peak Fire, but it also gave ski bums something to look forward to: hitting the slopes.

Last week, A-Basin shared a photo on Twitter, and it was lookin' pretty dry.

But, over the weekend, the ski area started to look a bit more... ski-able.

A-Basin says it plans to open for the 2020-2021 season mid October, weather permitting.
