Pedestrian Dies After Getting Hit by Car in Fort Collins
An adult male pedestrian died Friday night (Oct. 11) after being hit a by minivan in Fort Collins, according to a Fort Collins Police Services press release.
The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m.
The pedestrian attempted to cross from north to south on West Harmony Road outside of a crosswalk lane. He was struck by a gray 2005 Toyota minivan driven by 81-year-old Rosalee Perez of Fort Collins.
The pedestrian was taken to Medical Center of The Rockies in Loveland, where he was later pronounced dead. Perez was uninjured in the incident.
Fort Collins Police said the investigation is ongoing but "speed and alcohol do not appear to be a contributing factor."
