Anonymous Donor Gives $1 Million to CSU Student Financial Aid
On May 14, the university shared that a CSU supporter anonymously donated $1 million to the financial aid program, which is designed to help students in emergency situations. Because of the COVID-19 crisis, many students have turned to Ram Aid to help them get by, so they can pay rent and buy groceries.
CSU said that the $1 million donation alone will likely be able to help around 1,000 of its students who need the extra financial assistance in this time, as many have lost their jobs.
Leslie Taylor, the Vice President of the Division of Enrollment and Access, expressed the school's gratitude on CSU's Source, stating, 'I cannot thank this donor enough for this remarkable gift.'
'During these challenging times, this gift will provide hope for hundreds of students and keep them on track toward graduation,' Taylor said. 'This really is a tremendous example of Rams taking care of Rams.'
CSU also shared the story of one of the students who was assisted by Ram Aid at the beginning of COVID-19's devastation, and how he is now able to get back on his feet. You can read more here.
