My 6-year-old son, Max, was front and center when Slapshot and a couple of the Eagles Chicks stopped by to celebrate 99.9 The Point being the new home for the Colorado Eagles hockey, and we can't wait to make tons of family hockey memories this season.

Max hasn't been to his first game yet since fans weren't allowed in the arena last season, but we're going to make up for lost time now. If you're looking for a fun family activity, I highly recommend checking out the promotional schedule and picking some fun nights to attend.

My personal favorite is Teddy Bear Toss Night (Dec. 11 this year). You bring a stuffed animal to the game and when the Eagles score their first goal, thousands of teddy bears go flying through the air and onto the ice and go directly to help LOCAL kids in need. Way more fun than putting a toy in a donation box!

In fact, the Colorado Eagles and The Great Outdoors RV are making it easy for dozens of families to have a special first game experience this season. They are giving away packages including a complimentary ticket for the child and parent (two total), a PA shout-out with other children attending their first game on the video board, and a special visit from Slapshot and Myles the Moose to deliver a commemorative prize.

I’m so excited to be a part of this fantastic opportunity to send children 12 and younger to their first Eagles game. Thank you to the Great Outdoors RV and Colorado Eagles for partnering on this great promotion. Click here to learn more and enter.
