A Trip Around The Moon?
"To the moon, Alice", may be more of a reality now than just a saying. Space Adventures, a company based out of Virginia whose goal is to take private citizens to space, added another seat to a spacecraft meant to take tourists around the moon. With that seat added, that means there are now two seats on the craft, the first one has already been taken. If you want to go on this journey that includes a 10 day stay on the International Space Station, a 3.5 day trip to slingshot around the moon and the 3.5 day trip back to earth, all you need is a cool $150 million dollars.
That seems like a lot of money, but it would be a cool experience. My one thing is, what if something goes wrong? We all know that space travel doesn't necessarily have all the kinks worked out. What if on the sling-shot around the moon you get launched further into space? What if an alien busts out of your stomach and wreaks havoc on the crew? In space no one can hear you scream right? I don't know it seems like there are a lot of 'what if's' that would go with your $150 million. Do you think its worth it? And obviously you have to be loaded if you want to experience space. Do you think the prices will drop in the future?
