A Great Big World Performs in Fort Collins – Duo Talks About ‘Say Something’ Viral Videos + How They Met [VIDEOS] [PICTURES]

We were thankful to spend the afternoon taking in an awesome performance from A Great Big World at The Boot Grill in Fort Collins as part of The Point Unplugged series.

Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino played an intimate performance for about 40 of our listeners, who also got to ask them questions throughout the show. It was fun to learn a little more about these guys and their music.

The first question asked was about the viral video of the 4-year-old boy who cried during the song overcome by emotion. Axel and Vaccarino gave their take on the phenomenon before discussing the song's meaning to them, as well as how it became a huge hit... and then Axel busted it out a great performance of 'Say Something' for the crowd.

Later in the show, the guys talked about how they met and eventually started playing music together. Then the duo performed their song 'New Year.'

After they finished their set, Axel and Vaccarino met and talked with audience members, who had a photo taken with them as well.
