Population growth in the U.S. saw its slowest pace in years in 2019, but you wouldn't know it by living in Colorado.

According to the United States Census Bureau, 67,000 moved to the state in 2019. This is down from 2018, where about 80,000 flocked to the state.

Everyone complains about California and Texas transplants, but I say take it as a compliment. If Colorado's growth continues, there could be another Colorado Representative in Congress.

Texas added the most people in 2019 with 367,000 new residents. Colorado was fifth and also trailed Florida (233,000), Arizona (121,000) and Washington (91,000) in new residents.

New York had the largest population decrease, losing 77,000 residents.
